Of course there are apples, we’ve got thousands of them. We’ve got Jonagold, Elstar, Idared and Early Windsor. Around 60% of these apples are sold to a major supermarket chain for resale. 15% is sold to other wholesalers and the remainder are turned into juice, wine and cider which is sold direct from Tablehurst Farm and other small shops both locally and in London.
Besides apples we’ve got strawberries, in summertime. Delicious sweet strawberries and of course all biodynamic. Currently we’ve planted red currants, which we will be picking this summer. Red currants are always eaten fresh, they can be mixed in fruitsalads or used in desserts, for instance with yoghourt. You can make jam out of them or limonade. Red currants contain a lot of vitamin C, so they’re very healthy!
During fall we’ve got geese, which are sold for Christmas. The geese always walk freely on the farm and the orchards.
