Fendt
We have a four wheel drive Fendt this is a tractor specially designed for orchards and vineyards, this makes the essential work that needs doing in the orchard much more enjoyable, because of the cab and four wheel drive working in all weather is possible.

Kubota
The Kubota is an old gardeners tractor, it is that old that when we need parts we have to get them specially made, this is a tractor to basically run-around and for harvest this was our first four wheel drive tractor, but it lacks all comfort and is badly underpowered for the work that needs doing. It is however the best tractor for harvest because it has a very small engine it is not too noisy for the pickers.

Compost spreader
This machine we have build ourselves, because we farm organic we can’t use artificial fertilisers therefore we must rely on organic material like manures or compost to feed our trees. And unlike arable farmers we want the nutrients by the tree and not on the grass. That means that we need a side delivery system. We also need a machine that is small enough to fit between the rows. With the machines on the market we found that they were not strong enough for what we wanted, the were not only smaller but also weaker than the big arable spreaders. What we needed was a machine small enough to fit our orchards and strong enough like the big machines, so we decided to build one ourselves.

Forklift
Our forklift is powered by electricity (3 phase) this does require some training and expertise to drive, but is does the job good and that is all that is needed.

Grader
The apple grader is used at harvest to graded the fruit, all the bad and damaged fruit is taken out and than the fruit is graded for size, because the variety we grow we have a lot of larger apples, and we want to store these different than the smaller apples.

Irrigation pump
Our irrigation pump is not that special, but what drives the pump has a bit of a history. The engine comes from an old Massey Ferguson combine, the combine died 10 years ago and we have taken the engine from it and put it in front of the irrigation pump. It is a bit of a beast for what it has to do, but it will be better than a tractor because ones set-up it will be ready to go.
